The Twisted Minds of Aimee and Angie

We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit. - EE Cummings

C'est La Vie.

Because escapism is so much lovelier than real life, I've shamelessly ensconced myself solidly into the unabashed world of fictitious fantasy, in other words, I'm currently burying myself in books, that is, when I'm not working myself into a bone weary state of exhaustion, I've actually made myself physically ill (ooh, what fun), but I don't want to talk about that.

Anyhow, it occurs to me that I've pretty much been avoiding this blog (and basically the internet entirely for that matter) like the plague and since I'm the amiable sort (who really has no desire to talk about the sorry stressful downright miserable state of my life just now), I thought I'd share the books I've read thus far this month. Let's see...

Gentle Warrior -- Julie Garwood
The Prize -- Julie Garwood
Honor's Splendour -- Julie Garwood
The Bride -- Julie Garwood
The Wedding -- Julie Garwood
The Secret -- Julie Garwood
Ransom -- Julie Garwood
The Lyon's Lady -- Julie Garwood
Guardian Angel -- Julie Garwood
The Gift -- Julie Garwood
Castles -- Julie Garwood
Saving Grace -- Julie Garwood
Prince Charming -- Julie Garwood
Rebellious Desire -- Julie Garwood
Innocent in Death -- J.D. Robb

And I've just now started...

Something Wonderful -- Judith McNaught

Which will be followed by...

Almost Heaven -- Judith McNaught

After that I think I'll tackle...

The Velvet Promise -- Jude Devereaux
Highland Velvet -- Jude Devereaux

It seems I'm stuck in some odd "historical" phase, I dunno, but I'm liking it, particularly "Julie Garwood", she kicks ass. Anyhow, after that, who knows, maybe I'll start rereading my Nora Roberts books, they bring me joy and I could use some of that.

And you know, if I were taking on Drew's "50 Book Challenge", I'd be just about halfway there by now.

And, at this moment, I'm not writing, I can't, I just don't have it in me and I only explain this because I owe someone something that I'm just not able to give them right now and I'm sincerely sorry that I can't, they deserve better from me but I just can't give what I don't have.

That's all really.
