Aimee's Entry - Happy 4th...

Wow, I've been M.I.A., huh? Sorry 'bout that.

What's happened since last I was here? Let's see...

Friday I didn't do much of anything really. I was supposed to go out with Christie for a drink after work but Drew had to work late and my mom was out of town which means I had no one to watch Cameron so, I just couldn't do it. Instead, I stayed home and started reading, 'Rules of Prey' by John Sanford... I'm really enjoying it so far.

Saturday... Drew, Cameron and myself just hung around being lazy together. We went to eat dinner at Friday's and Cameron amazed us by cleaning his plate (he NEVER eats everything) but apparently he really likes ribs. At about 8:30 my sister scooped me up and we went to Bonefish Mac's for that drink we didn't get to have on Friday. It was fun and one drink turned into many until I was pretty much plastered and Christie had to eventually switch to water so she could drive us home. I have a deep affection for Midori Sours and when someone else is buying well, I'll drink as many as you sit in front of me. Yum. But I gotta tell you, liquor really loosens the tongue. Poor Christie got all sorts of sordid details about my sex life and we were a bit too drunk to go this time but we made a pact to hit Adult Video Warehouse next time because she wants to buy me something for my birthday… that should be interesting.

Sunday was the big 4th of July bash that my parents throw every year so after I worked myself past a slight hangover we headed over to my mom's for some fun, food and fireworks. My parents live on a farm and the front yard is huge so they set up platforms on the far side of the yard for the fireworks and then they set up an area really close to the house for everyone to watch. Robin always drops a good amount on fireworks and they're so pretty only this year, because it NEVER quits raining around here, the fireworks got a bit wet before someone could get out there and cover them up and it led to some minor mishaps when it came time to se them off, one of which, was falling debris. I, unfortunately, have first hand knowledge of this particular mishap... I was sitting there with Drew and out of nowhere the cap to one of the fireworks rapped me across the knuckles. Ouch. But mishaps aside, they were beautiful and a good time was had by all.

And today was just a lazy day... we stayed in and watched TV for most of the day and then headed out for an early dinner. Now Cameron is in bed because Drew wanted him to rest up for tomorrow night (he's taking him to Tony Hawk's Boom Boom Huck Jam) and I think I'm going to go read a bit more of my book.
